Marinara Sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
16-ounce can tomatoes, coarsley chopped
6 ounce can tomato paste
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons basil
1/2 teaspoon salt

In medium pan over medium heat, in hot oil, cook garlic and onion
until tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in tomatoes and their liquid,
tomato paste, sugar, basil and salt. Reduce heat to low and simmer
covered for about 20 minutes or until thickened. Makes 3 cups sauce.
