Almond Pastry

1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 Tbsp water

Mix and divide into half and pat into 2 strips 13"x2" on an ungreased
cookie sheet.

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup flour
3 eggs
1 Tbsp almond extract

Bring water and margarine to a boil and add almond extract and
flour (all at once). Add 3 eggs (one at a time stirring after each).
Place half of this mixture on each pastry bottom. Bake at 350 for
1 hour. cool. Frost with a mixture of butter, confectionary sugar,
and almond extract. Slice diagonally into 3/4" strips.

I have made this recipe several times and just love the taste. It is very easy to make and other people who have sampled it want the recipe as well.

this pastry was the best i ver tasted and made. i hope you decide to make this pastry, i used it at my uncles party and i ended up with a job for my dads catering company!!
