Grandma's Crullers

2 eggs
3 Tbsp fat, melted
1 1/2 cups milk
6 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp vanilla
6 cups flour, sifted

Mix and sift dry ingredient. Combine eggs, vanilla, milk and fat.
Mix with dry ingredients. Roll out and cut into diamond shape and
cut a slit in middle. Cook in oil 365 - 375 degrees for 3 1/2 to
4 minutes. Turn as soon as donuts rise. Cook until brown. Shake
in a brown paper bag with cinnamon sugar.

This recipe had many good ingredients but the dough was very sticky. I could not cut it as asked and ended up pulling pieces off the dough. When fried, the taste left a lot to be desired. I would suggest you recheck this recipe and see if more flour should be used, more seasoning and roll on floured cloth would have been helpful. I did anyway. Could not roll - I don't like this recipe. helpful but too sticky to roll
