1/4 cup butter, softened
1 T. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup milk, scalded
1 egg
1 package yeast
3 1/4-4 cups flour

Place butter, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Add scalded milk. Stir until butter is melted. Cool to lukewarm. Add egg and yeast. Beat until bubbly. Add 1 1/2 cups flour. Beat until flour is blended and mixture is bubbly. Gradually add 1 cup of flour and continue beating. Stir in remaining 1 1/2 cups of flour using only enough to prevent dough from sticking to fingers. Grease hands and roll dough into 1-inch balls and place into greased muffin tins using 2 to 3 balls for each roll. Brush with melted butter, cover and let rise until doubled in bulk. Bake @ 425 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Brush again with melted butter. Enjoy!
