Tart Shells

1 1/3 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup shortening
3 to 4 Tbs iced water

Sift flour and salt into a bowl. Blend in shortening. Add water
1 Tbs at a time until dough begins to hold together.

Gather into a ball and shape into a flattened round on a floured
board. Roll out and cut into circles about 1" larger than tart
pans. Place dough in pans, trim edges and prick bottoms thoroughly.
Bake at 475 degs F. for 8-10 mins. When cool remove from pans and
fill with your favourite fillings.
