WALNUT TARTS
serves 12

12 unbaked tart shells
3 eggs
1 cup dark corn syrup
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter,melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup coarsely chopped California walnuts
whipped cream for garnish

Prepare tart shells. Preheat oven to 350 deg.F. In medium bowl with
wire whisk, beat eggs well. Beat in next 4 ingredients until well
blended. Distribute chopped walnuts evenly among tart shells.
Carefully pour filling over walnuts. Bake 25-30 minutes. Cool 10
minutes. Remove from pans and cool on wire rack. Serve topped with
whipped cream.
