POTATO AND HAM PIE

2 cups raw shredded potatoes
1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
4 slightly beaten eggs
1 c. peas
1 c. finley shredded ham
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. sliced green onion

Combine potatoes and the 1/2 cup cheese. Press on bottom and up
sides of buttered 9-inch pie plate. Combine eggs, peas, ham, cheese,
milk and onion. Pour into pie plate and bake at 350 degrees for 1
hour (or bubbly brown and set). Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before
serving.

This dish was great! An easy to make all in one dish. I would add some seasoning to the potatoes too, as already mentioned.

I just love this sort of recipe because you can add and subtract ingredients that are to your liking at will. I added sea salt... just a sprinkle... to the base and then both white and black pepper to the filling. The next time I make it I'll add a tsp of crushed garlic with the filling mixture plus one small 'inferno chilli'... but then again... i like my food to have a bit of a bite. Keep it plain for the kids.
