Fruit Cobbler
1 can (1lb. 13 oz.) fruit and juice 1 Tbsp. cornstarch mixed with 2 Tbsp. cold water
Heat oven to 400. Heat fruit and liquid; blend in cornstarch mixture. Boil 1 minute. Pour into 2-qt. baking dish. Dot with butter. Make shortcake dough. Drop by spoonfuls over fruit. Bake about 20 minutes. Serve hot with light cream. 6 to 8 servings.
Shortcake dough
1 cup Bisquick 1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp cream (or 1/4 cup milk plus 2 Tbsp. melted butter) 1 Tbsp. sugar, if desired
Combine. Do not overmix.
