Fruit Cobbler 11

Fruit Cobbler 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 1 cup milk 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 stick of margarine (butter) 20 oz can sliced peaches (drained) (any fruit can be used) Mix all ingredients but margarine. Melt margarine in oblong oven pan; pour batter over melted margarine. Sprinkle a little sugar on top.
Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees until brown.
Note: Other fruit may be used. I have sucessfully used fresh peaches, frozen and fresh blackberries. Canned fruit is usually packed in some type of syrup. So when using fresh or frozen fruit, I usually coat the fruit with a couple of spoons of sugar prior to placing the fruit on top of the batter.
