Peanut Butter 06

Peanut Butter Pie
1 pie shell
1/3 c peanut butter
3/4 c powdered sugar
1/3 c flour
1/2 c sugar
dash salt
2 c milk
3 egg yolks
1/8 c butter
1 t vanilla
3 egg whites
Bake pie shell. Cool.
Mix peanut butter and powdered sugar until crumbly. Sprinkle 2/3
of mixture into pie crust.
Mix flour, sugar, salt, milk, and egg yolks. Cook until thick.
Add butter and vanilla. Let cool. Pour into pie shell over peanut
butter mix. Use egg whites to make meringue. Put on pies. Sprinkle
remaining peanut butter crumbles on top. Brown in oven. Serve.
Variation: Use cool whip for meringue, but chill then serve.
