PEAR PIE
3/4 cup sugar 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon each of ground nutmeg and cinnamon 6 cups thinly sliced peeled ripe pears Pastry for 2-crust 9-inch pie, unbaked 2tablespoons butter
Mix first 4 ingredients; add pears and mix lightly. Line pie pan with half of pastry. Add filling and dot with butter. Adjust top crust. Bake in preheated hot oven (425F.) for about 50 minutes. Serve warm or cold. Makes about 6 servings.
