Chicken Paprika
1 chicken (cut up)
1 small onion (chopped)
1 cup water
1 cup sour cream
2 tb. shortening
1 cup sweet cream
1 tb. paprika
salt, pepper to taste
Saute onion in shortening, adding seasoning. brown chicken for 15
minutes. Add water and cover. Simmer for 1 hour, until tender.
Remove chicken to serving platter. Mix well sour cream with
drippings in pan. Adjust seasoning, adding 1 cup sweet cream and
heat. Do not boil! Serve over dumplings or kluski (noodles).
