Dill Pickle Soup

6 cups beef broth
3 tablespoons flour
1 cup milk
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons soft butter
4 lg. dill pickles, shredded or sliced very thin
1/2 cup liquid from pickles
3 cups cooked diced potatoes

Bring the broth to a boil. Mix flour with milk until dissolved.
Add to broth and stir.

Remove from heat: beat egg yolk with butter. Add a little of the
broth to the egg yolk mixture and beat well.

Add the pickles, pickle liquid and potatoes. Heat, but do no boil.
Garnish with a little dill if desired.
