Galuska Soup

2-3 pieces chicken
3 carrots, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 Tbs. chopped parsley
salt to taste
1 tsp. chicken base

Place all ingredients in large saucepan or stock pot, and cover
with enough water to cover. Cook all ingredients together until
meat is done. Take out meat and debone. If necessary, add more
water. Let simmer. Make dumplings and add to soup.


Dumplings

1 egg
1 Tbl water
3/4 cup farina or cream of wheat
1/4 tsp. baking powder

Mix ingredients together till consistency is a little stiffer than
how you like to eat hot cereal. Spoon into boiling broth and cover.
Cook until done, about 5 minutes.
