Krupnik for Christmas Eve
1 c honey
1 c water
1 lemon peel, just the zest, no pith
2" piece vanilla bean
5 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
nutmeg, freshly grated to taste
2 c vodka
Bring all ingredients except vodka to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Steep for 20 minutes. Add vodka. Drink hot.
Note: Different honey changes the flavor.
