Krupnik, hot mead with vodka
2 cups honey
1 cup water
7 whole cloves
12 cinnamon sticks
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 vanilla bean
1 fifth vodka
Combine and heat the honey and water. Slip all the spices into
cheeseclothe sack and add it to the honey mixture. Bring this to
a boil, then remove it from heat. Let all the flavours blend for
an hour or more.
Add the vodka. Let cool and remove sack. Serve warm.
