Portuguese Bean Soup
1 3/4 cup kidney beans
1 cup diced onions
1 lb fresh tomatoes, diced
3/4 lb Ukrainian sausage, diced
15 oz diced, canned tomatoes with juice
15 oz ketchup
2 tsp chopped green chillies
1/2 oz black pepper and salt
5 oz brown sugar
1 tbsp chilli powder
1 bay leaf
1/2 oz beef base
4 cups beef broth
Combine ingredients. Simmer for an hour.
