able to substitute a different kind of meat in this recipe:
Shoyu Chicken
Flour, Salt, and Pepper 1/4 c. Soy sauce 1/4 c sugar 1 T. vinegar (I also add a little ginger, because I love ginger). Oh, and Chicken, of course
Dredge chicken pieces in flour, salt and pepper. Pan fry in a little oil. Once it's slightly browned, at sauce, reduce heat, and simmer for a while. (I usually start rice about now, then the chicken is done when the rice is.) This does make a mess, so be prepared to soak the pan and wipe up the stove once you're done.
