Turkey Breast with Plum Sauce

4 pound boneless whole turkey breast
1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
1/4 cup plum or raspberry jam

1 cup sliced plums
1/4 cup plum or raspberry jam
1 tablespoon white vinegar

Brush grill rack with vegetable oil. Heat coals or gas grill for
direct heat.

Sprinkle turkey with lemon pepper. Insert barbecue meat thermometer
in center of turkey.

Cover and grill turkey, skin side down, 4 to 6 inches from MEDIUM
heat 30 minutes; turn. Cover and grill 40 to 50 minutes longer,
brushing occasionally with plum jam during the last 10 minutes,
until thermometer reads 170F and juice of turkey is no longer pink
when center is cut. Discard any remaining jam.

While turkey is grilling, prepare Plum Sauce.

stand 10 minutes before carving. Serve turkey with sauce.

PLUM SAUCE

Mix all ingredients in 1-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat
about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until plums are tender.
About 1 1/4 cups.
