Curry Turkey with Veggies,
1 large onion thinly sliced
2 tablespoon garlic crushed
1 tablespoon ginger crushed
1 lb ground turkey
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 to 2 tablespoon oil
8 oz frozen green peas (or mixed peas and carrots)
3 tablespoons Curry Powder
Combine ground turkey, salt, black pepper, garlic, ginger, and
Curry Powder in a bowl and mix well; Heat oil on medium heat, saute
onion until slightly golden brown; Add the mixture from step 1,
mix well, cover and cook for 15 minutes or until turkey meat is
cooked. Stir occasionally. Add frozen peas, stir well to coat
them, cover and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. When the peas are soft
and tender, turn off heat.
What you have just cooked, Curry Turkey with Veggies, will be the
base for many different meals.
Buy flour tortillas from the store. Get the large burrito size.
Spoon just enough "Curry Turkey" to create a mini log in the middle
of the tortilla. Fold to create a wrap. You can add sliced tomatoes,
shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard,
horseradish, anything you want.
Get two slices of bread. Place a slice of cheese on each. Spoon
just enough Curry to cover one. Place the other on top. Put the
sandwich in a toaster oven, or oven and roast until the cheese
melts. Or, put on top of the grill and turn once to grill both
sides. Or, toast the bread first, then put into the microwave just
until the cheese melts. Again, you can add mayonnaise, ketchup,
horseradish, mustard, or any other condiment that you love.
Buy pita pockets from the store. Fill with Curry, shredded lettuce,
shredded cheese, sliced tomatoes, sour cream, and anything else
Press the Curry into balls for easy Spaghetti and meatballs. Just
add to your spaghetti dish. If you prefer, you can remove the
veggies and just press the meat. Or, you can cook the Curry without
the veggies specifically for spaghetti.
Use the Curry as the base meat for your pizza. Add the ingredients
that you normally use, just substitute Curry for the ground beef
