Corned Beef Brisket 5 - 6 lb. beef brisket 1/4 t. saltpeter 1/4 cup warm water 1 T. mixed pickling spices 3/4 cup salt 2 T. sugar 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 t. paprika 2 quarts water
Dissolve saltpeter in warm water Combine remaining ingredients except beef in a non- metalic container until salt dissolves Add beef refrigerate for 4 to 5 weeks. Cook as for any corned beef.
