Smoked Jerky
1 pound round steak
1/2 cup Worchestershire 1/2 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup brown sugar 4 garlic cloves 2 teaspoons fresh ground black pepper 2 teaspoons ground dried red chile 1 teaspoon onion powder
Slice steak as thin as possible. plan on smoking mine and the temp recommended is 200-220. Marinate for 1 hour, drain it, and let it sit at room temp 15 minutes.
Transfer to a sheet of heavy-duty aluminum foil, seperate the pieces and put in the coolest part of of your smoker and cook until the meet starts to blacken (about 45 minutes). Wrap the foil loosely and continue barbecuing for another 60 to 75 minutes until well-dried. Let it cool and refrigerate leftovers.
