Berry Syrup 01

Berry Syrup yields approximately 6 pints
4 lbs berries 2 cups water sugar lemon juice
Put the berries in a large pot and add water. Crush berries to start juices flowing. bring to a simmer, do not boil.
Pour juice through jelly bag or cheesecloth and allow juice to drain.
Measure juice and put it back into the pot. To each cup of juice add 2/3 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
Bring the syrup to a simmer and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
Pour into hot sterilized jars with 1/2 inch headspace and seal.
Process in BWB 10 minutes.
