 |
1 pint fresh blueberries 1/4 cup water 1/2 cup sugar 1 tablespoon lemon juice (about 1/2 lemon)
Carefully wash and remove stems from blueberries. Pour into 3-quart pot with water and sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer berries for 10 minutes, stirring from time to time. Press through a fine sieve to remove blueberry skin or use as is. Squeeze juice from half a lemon and add to blueberry syrup. Cool. Store in a glass jar in refrigerator. Makes 1 cup

Great taste, super easy, but mine turned out to be as thick as jam. I added some water before I poured it on the waffles, which helped. I also didn't press the berries, I left is as is, like the recipe suggest.
