Chowchow

1 c sliced cukes
1 c chopped sweet pepper
1 c sliced onions
1 c chopped cabbage
1 c cut green beens
1 c cut yellow beans
1 c limas
1 c carrots

1 T celery seed
1 c chopped celery
2 T mustard seed
1 pt vinegar
2 c sugar
2 T turmeric

Soak cukes, peppers, cabbage, onions in salted water overnight.
Use 1/2 cup salt for each quart of water. Cook limas, green beans,
carrots and celery until barely tender. Drain all vegetables well.

Mix soaked and cooked vegetables with remaining ingredieints.
Bring to boil, lower heat and simmer gently for 10 minutes. While
hot, place is sterilized jars and seal at once.

I think I will throw in some tomatoes the next time I do mine.
