Cranberry Applesauce
4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries 1/4 cup water 8 cups sliced peeled cooking apples 2 cups sugar
In a covered saucepan, simmer cranberries and water for 20 - 25 minutes or until tender. Press through a sieve or food mill; return to saucepan. Add apples; cover and simmer for 35 - 40 minutes or until apples are tender. Add sugar. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Ladle into hot pint jars and process in BWB for 20 minutes.
Makes about 2 pints NOTE: Recipe can be doubled or tripled.
