Print this Recipe    Recipie calls for 12 cucumbers but this can be increased, just do

the math for more brine.

12 pickling cukes
1 large clove garlic
6-8 sprigs fresh dill
1/4 tsp dill seeds - optional
1 tsp pickling spices
1/4 cup pickling salt
1/4 cup white vinegar
2 1/2 qts water.

Pack cukes, dill and spices into crock or other container that will
allow 2 inches between the cukes and top of container. Bring
salt, vinegar and water to a boil and boil 2 mionutes. Pour brine
over cukes. Weigh down with plate. Brine should be 1" above cukes.
Keep at room temperature overnight then refrigerate.

I usually let the crock sit on my counter until the cukes are
pickled enough than jar up.
