Minced Fruit 2 cups prunes 2 cups dried apples 2 cups raisins 1 cup white corn syrup 1/4 tsp. mace 1/4 cup vinegar 7 1/2 cups water 1/2 tsp. allspice 1 tsp. salt Wash prunes, remove pits, chop. Wash apples, remove cores. Combine apples and 6 cups water in a medium sized pot, simmer 45 min. Combine syrup, vinegar, 1 1/2 cups water, spices and salt in large pot; boil 2 minutes. Add prunes; simmer 10 min. Add apples and raisins; simmer about 20 minutes or until flavors are blended. Allow to cool. Pack in freshly sterilized jars. Seal.
