SEARCH RECIPES: LOCATION: Recipes >> Preserving >> Mountain Dew Jelly    Mountain Dew Jelly Mountain Dew Jelly 3 1/4 cups Mountain Dew 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice 4 1/2 cups sugar 1 pkg Sure Jell pectin Pour the Mtn Dew and lemon juice into a large (6-8 qt) pot. Bring to a boil, and allow to boil 3 min. (at this point, I let it cool slightly, then followed the Sure Jell directions). This is basically the same as Sure Jell's recipe for elderberry jelly, with the lemon juice amount halved. I think the next batch, I'll start out with more "Dew juice", and reduce it, for a more concentrated flavor. I thought it was too sweet to do anything with, but he's 12 so he loved it. He won a blue ribbon at the County Fair in the youth division for that jelly!
