Pear Honey

6 cups ground pears
1 can crushed pineapple
4 cups sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice if desired

My recipe was also very vague in that it said to cook until done.

I had many people mention that they remembered marichino (sp?)
cherries in their pear honey. My fatherinlaw confirms this. Will
have to try that next year, since I am now out of pears to do
anything with.

I wasn't real sure what size can of pineapple. I used a large can & doubled recipe. It took a long time to cook & had to be stirred continuesly at he end. It was worth the time & effort. It looks really nice & taste great. Thank you for sharing.
