Indian Rice
1 cup Basmati rice 2 cups water 2 tblsp butter 3 cardamom pods 1-2 slivers of cinnamon pinch of saffron salt
Saute the rice in the butter for a couple of minutes. Add the water and spices and bring to a boil, cover and simmer 15 minutes. If you like, add a handful of frozen English peas.
