Mushrooms, Rice and Peas

1 lb fresh mushrooms, cleaned and halved
1 cup water
1 cup brown shortgrain rice
2 cups water
1 cup frozen peas
Salt to taste

Boil the mushrooms in one cup water until done, drain. Bring the
2 cups water to a boil, add rice, cover, reduce heat to med-low or
low and cook for 45 minutes. Add the frozen peas and mushrooms to
the rice and cook until they are hot. Salt to taste.
