After having read a number of authorities on salad dressings I have

come to the conclusion that the original French Dressing was made with
paprika rather than tomato.
Something like:
1c. Olive oil
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. lemon juice
1/2 t. dry mustard
1/2 t. paprika
salt to taste
Any opinions?
