CAESAR'S SALAD

6 anchovies (1 tsp.)
8 ounces wine vinegar
3/4 teaspoon oregano
1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
1 tablespoon salt
1 1/4 ounces sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 pint (16 ounces) oil

iceberg and romaine lettuce, torn
sweet red pepper, chopped
green onions (including green tops) chopped
Parmesan, Romano, provolone and mozzarella cheeses, grated
croutons and bacon pieces

Blend the fist 8 ingredients in a blender. Pour in oil in a stream.

Toss all except the croutons and bacon. Add dressing 15 minutes
before serving. Add croutons and bacon at serving time.


CROUTONS

6 Enlgish muffins, cubed
1/2 cup Caesar Salad dressing (see above)
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Toss ingredients together. Bake at 350 degrees on a cookie sheet.
Stir every 5 minutes. They are done when lightly brown.
