LIME-PEAR SALAD

6 to 10 (1-pound can) pear halves
1 box (3 ounces) lime-flavored gelatin
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup each of diced celery and cucumber
1 avocado, sliced
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1/2 teaspoon grated lime rind
Salad greens
Dairy sour cream

Drain pears, reserving syrup. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water
and add syrup. Chill until slightly thickened. Fold in remaining
ingredients except last two. Pour into 1 1/2-quart mold and chill
for several hours, or until firm. Turn out on greens and serve
with sour cream. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
