I just received a bushel of pears that should be used fairly quickly.
Does anyone have a favorite pear recipe they would share with me?

Candied Walnut, Pear, and Gorgonzola Salad

Ingredients:
1 cup walnut halves
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons water
1/2 cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
1 head butter leaf lettuce
2 pears, cored and cubed
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon Balsamic vinegar
Fresh cracked pepper

In small sauce pan combine brown sugar, butter and water over a low
heat. Cook long enough to just melt sugar, pour mixture over walnuts
and toss. Place candied walnuts on wax paper to cool. In salad bowl
toss lettuce, cheese, walnuts and pears with olive oil and vinegar.
Season with cracked pepper and serve.
