Strawberry Pretzel 06

Strawberry Pretzel Surprise
1 (8 1/2 oz.) pkg. Keebler butternut pretzels, crushed (about 2 c.)
3 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. margarine, softened
1 c. sugar
8 oz. cream cheese
8 oz. Cool Whip
2 c. boiling water
1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jell-O
1 (20 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries (if whole, slice in halves)
Mix crushed pretzels, 3 tablespoons sugar and margarine. Press
mixture in Pyrex Baking Dish, 13" x 9" x 2" or 12" x 8" x 2". Bake
at 400*F. for 10 minutes; cool. Beat 1 cup sugar, cream cheese
and Cool Whip; add to cooled pretzel layer. Mix boiling water with
Jell-O; add strawberries. Let stand 10 minutes; add to casserole.
Chill 1 hour. Store in refrigerator. Serves 12 or more.
