Cranberry-Lime Salsa

1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup lime juice
16 oz whole crushed cranberries
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
3 scallions, finely chopped
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
2 garlic cloves, minced
salt

Add up to 1/4 cup sugar to lime juice; stir until the sugar dissolved.
Add crushed cranberries, cilantro, scallions, jalapeno pepper and
garlic. Season with salt.

Let stand for 30 minutes before serving. Makes 2-1/2 cups. Serve
with poultry or pork.

TIP: Adjust sugar to the sweetness of the prepared cranberries.Canned
cranberries are usually sweetened.
