Broiled Burgers

Broiled Burgers with Mushrooms and Onions
1 pound ground beef 3 tablespoons finely chopped onion 3 tablespoons water 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Mix ground beef, onion, water, salt and pepper. Shape mixture into 4 patties, each about 3/4 inch thick. Set oven control to broil. Place patties on rack in broiler pan. Broil with tops about 3 inches from heat until desired doneness, 5 to 7 minutes on each side for medium. Prepare Mushrooms and Onions; spoon over burgers.
MUSHROOMS AND ONIONS
1 medium onion, thinly sliced 1 tablespoon butter or margarine 4 ounce can mushroom stems and pieces, drained 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Cook onion in butter over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until tender. Stir in mushrooms and Worcestershire sauce; heat until mushrooms are hot.

Quick and easy recipe. The mushrooms and onion in the Worcestershire sauce add a lot of flavor to an otherwise ordinary burger.
