Creamed Chopped Beef 3 Tbsp unsalted butter 3 Tbsp all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. dry mustard powder Pepper to taste 2 1/2 cups milk, warmed 1-2 jars dried beef Melt the butter in a frying pan or saucepan over medium heat. Whisk until smoth. Add the mustard powder and pepper then start adding the warm milk a little at a time whisking constantly. Whisk until smooth then bring to a boil over medium heat. When the sauce comes to a boil, boil 1 minute or until desired thickness.
Rinse the beef under cold water and pat dry. Shread the meat. Add to the sauce and heat. Serve over toast, waffles or biscuits.
