OYSTER LOAF
2 individual sub rolls, split lengthwise 1/2 stick margarine or olive oil 4 cloves garlic 24 oysters, more or less yellow cornmeal oil for frying
Lay open rolls on boiler pan. Melt margarine. Press garlic through press into melted margarine and spread on rolls. Place rolls under broiler until toasted brown. Keep warm.
Drain oysters well. Season cornmeal with salt and pepper and drop oysters into mix to coat thoroughly. Fry in a couple inches hot oil until well browned. Drain on paper towels for a few minutes. Assemble sandwiches (1 dozen oysters each) and serve with salad on the side.
