Texas Barbecue Sauce

5 oz Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed
2 c water
2 ts salt
1 c apple cider vinegar
1 ts garlic salt
3/4 c lemon juice
1/2 ts black pepper, ground
1/4 c vegetable oil

Combine all the ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to the
boiling point. Reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered, for 10
minutes. Cool and pour into a tightly covered container. This
sauce will keep, refrigerated, for several weeks. Use for chicken,
hamburgers or steak.

Makes 4 cups of sauce
