Dipping Chocolate

Chocolate dipping sauce:
1/2 c. milk chocolate chips
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 Tbls. shortening
Vanilla dipping sauce:
1 2/3 c. vanilla milk chips
1 Tbls. butter-flavored shortening
Melt the chips with the shortening over low heat or in the microwave.
Stir until smooth. Dip strawberries (washed and patted dry) or
pretzels or potato chips or peanut butter-cracker sandwiches or
dried apricots (you get the idea!!) in chocolate and place on wax
paper lined tray. Place in refrigerator until firm.
