Sweet Sour Sauce 09

Sweet and sour sauce
8 oz. can pineapple chunks
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup white vinegar
2 tsp. soy sauce
2 tsp. corn starch
2 T. cold water
1/2 cup orange marmalade or plum sauce or ketchup
Combine pineapple and juice, sugar, vinegar and soy sauce in a
medium saucepan and heat to boiling. Mix together corn starch,
water, stir into hot pineapple mixture. Return to boiling and
simmer 1 minute while stirring constantly. Stir in the plum sauce
and remove from heat. Cover and refrigerate. Serve warm or cold.
Makes 2 cups.
