Reviewer: Anonymous from Fairfax, VA Having caught a dozen or so blues in the past week I was in need on a tasty way to prepare them. This recipe is fantastic! Many people do not like bluefish as it is oily & strong tasting. This recipe basically tasted like a crab-cake. I highly recommend it. Try it & you will change your opinion of bluefish. Reviewer: Anonymous from Pittsburgh, PA We made this when we had accidently poached the bluefish thinking we could do something else with it, and the poached bluefish was awful. So I tried to see what I could do with it. I found this recipe here, and tried it. It was easy, since we had already boiled the fish. We were surprised with how much we really liked it. Reviewer: Kevin Synowiec from Virginia Beach, VA USA With about 5 small fillets, I made this recipe adding a few more bread crumbs than asked, an additional egg, and a little celery. I fried them with 1/2 butter and 1/2 vegetable oil. My wife loved it. My kids even liked it. I can't wait to catch some more bluefish. I will also share this with my anglers group this month.
