Chex Party Mix

8 oz peanuts
6 oz pretzel sticks
1 med box Cheerios
1 med box Rice Chex
8 oz cashews
3 sticks margarine
1/4 c Worcestershire sauce
1 T garlic salt
1 T celery salt
1 T onion salt

Combine nuts, pretzels, and cereal. Melt margarine together with
remaining ingredients and pour over cereal mixture. Bake one hour
covered then one hour uncovered at 250F. Stir often. Do not double;
cereal does not bake crisp.

To me this is the original recipe!! And after tasting alot of different ones. I still think this is the best. I was first introduced to "Trash" as we called it over 40 years ago by my mother. I make it every Christmas and give it away as gifts. I'll soon be fixing a batch to send overseas to family that can't be home for the holidays.

I agree that this is the original recipe for "Snacking Stuff" as my family has called it for 40 years. The only modification we make is adding 1 TBSP of red pepper sauce to the butter mixture in order to spice it up a little.
