Reviewer: Anonymous from Edmonton, AB, Canada growing up this was our favorite treat and is my guilty little pleasure now. I've had to literally hold people down to try it (as red popcorn may seem unnatural to those ultra-mature types with no sense of fun), but once they did it was impossible to stap eating it. We had to organise a support group to help us quit. The group officially disbanded last year when members were discoved secretly making and devouring this treat in the middle of the night. We've since decided to just give in and continue in our sinful, but enjoyable ways. Also for easier preparation, cook the cornsyrup/sugar mixture in pyrex measuring cup thing, add the soda and kool-aid directly into that, then pour over popcorn. Instead of cooking it in the oven, prepare the popcorn in a plastic bowl and microwave on high for three minutes, stirring ever thirty seconds. Works just as well, but faster and less clean up.
