Filled Chocolate Cake (Suzy Q's)

2 cups sugar
3/4 cup oleo
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1/2 cup cocoa
2 eggs
2 cupsflour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup regular Crisco (no substitutions)
3/4 cup butter flavor Crisco (no substitutions)
3/4 cup evaporated milk
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 to 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Mix 2 cups sugar, oleo, boiling water and cocoa together. Add
eggs, flour, baking soda, and vanilla and mix thoroughly. Bake on
a sheet cake pan in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. Allow to cool.
Mix 1 cup sugar, Crisco, and evaporated milk together in a medium
sized bowl. Beat for 10 minutes with an electric mixer on high
speed. Add vanilla, water salt and powdered sugar. Beat for 5 more
minutes on High. Slice cooled cakes in half lengthwise to make 2
layers. Spread filling between layers. Serve as is or chilled.
