COLD CHERRY SOUP

2 16oz. cans sour, pitted cherries
3 cups hot water
1 cup or more sugar
cinnamon to taste
2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup red wine or sherry

Combine cherries, water, sugar, cinnamon in a large pot. Bring to
a boil.

Meanwhile, mix flour and heavy cream until well-blended. Bring to
a boil and cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from
heat.

Stir in wine or sherry. Sweeten soup to taste and chill well
covered.
