Clam Chowder
A good chunk of salt pork or fresh bacon 1 large onion, chopped 2 stalks of celery, chopped 3 cans of chopped clams or enough fresh clams to make 3 - 4 cups Clam Nectar (16 oz) 2 medium potatoes, chopped coarsely 16 oz of cream or 2 cans of evaporated milk garlic powder seasoned pepper salt to taste
Brown the bacon (or pork), sautee onions and celery in resulting drippings, add clam nectar, potatoes and cook until potatoes are soft. Stir in clams and cream (or evap. milk). Add garlic powder, seasoned pepper and salt to taste. The soup consistency should be thick and creamy, adjust (+or-) liquids to achieve the thickness you desire.
